Dear Sebastopol Families,
We hope that you and your families have fared well throughout these challenging times.
As
our board starts looking towards organizing Sebastopol's Fall-season
Baseball, we want to announce Little League International's (our
governing body) rule change for the 2020 season, allowing players to
enroll with neighboring leagues, in the event that your local league's
Spring season was cancelled. Sebastopol Little League did elect to
cancel our Spring season, along with a handful of other leagues in our
district.
One of our neighbor leagues,
Westside Little League, is planning on starting practices soon, in hopes
that games will be allowed by the Sonoma County Health Officer in the
near future. They are offering players from our league (in the Minors,
Majors, and Juniors divisions) an opportunity to register for their 2020
Spring/Summer season, and have thoughtfully lowered their registration
fee to be equal to that of the league wide-refunds that Sebastopol
Little League is issuing.
If any of you are interested in registering your child for Spring/Summer baseball, please check out Westside's website at wsllsr.com. If you have questions for their league about their Spring/Summer season, you can email [email protected]. There's the possibility for Sebastopol coaches to participate as well; email them if you're interested.
